Hi, it's ANdi Lawrence (Dave's daughter from Mayfest). I just wanted to thank you for removing my celtic design from your gallery.
My objection was that you hadn't credited me as its original creator. If you do so I will be more than happy for you to re-display it.

I can see how you arrived at the finished article and it was a good copy, however I drew it freehand and I believe that the spirit of celtic designs, as well as one of the things that makes them so unique and appealing is that they aren't symmetrical or uniform.

IMO making them such detracts from their original concept and can give them a 'mass produced' look which cheapens the tradition and craft that has existed for thousands of years.

Anyway, this is in no way a further criticism of your copy, I just wanted to explain the reasons that I felt so strongly about your displaying it.
I hope that this disagreement has in no way damaged our friendship.
